Plum Creek

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission report [“Juniata River Subbasin Small Watershed Study: Morrison Cove “ Publication 246 – Sep 2006] identified the Roaring Spring Area in Morrison Cove as a Potentially Stressed Area (PSA). The Roaring Spring Area consists of three basins/watersheds, namely Plum Creek, Halter Creek, Cabbage Creek. From another hydrogeology study, the Plum Creek Basin is the most endangered and critical basin.

For this project, a preliminary system dynamics model is planned to be completed, i.e., the development of water balance simulation model (i.e., “ Plum Creek Basin Dynamic Water Budget” for the Plum Creek Basin/Watershed). This project would serve as a complementary tool to the SBRC findings and facilitate further investigations of the Roaring Spring Area water resources.
