The Coldwater Heritage Partnership is
administered by Deborah Nardone,
Coldwater Resource
Specialist with the Pa Council of Trout Unlimited. The Coldwater
Heritage Partnership is a partnership between PA Trout Unlimited, the PA
Fish and Boat Commission, the PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural
Resources and the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds. This purpose
of this Partnership is to provide leadership, coordination and
assistance to groups interested in the protection of our coldwater
streams.
Deb holds a Masters of
Science in Environmental Pollution Control with an emphasis in Water
Quality from Pennsylvania State University and a BS from Juniata College
in Environmental Science and Political Science.

Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania
can be reached via the following routes and directions:
From the northeast: I-80,
exit 173, Lamar interchange, take PA Route 64 south to PA Route 26 south
to Pleasant Gap and PA Route 144 intersection (approximately 15 miles from
I-80). See below.
From the northwest: I-80,
exit 161, Bellefonte interchange, follow PA Route 26 south to Pleasant Gap
and PA 144 Route intersection (approximately 5 miles). See
below.
From the southwest: U.S.
Route 220/322 north towards State College (not alternative 220), bear left
on U.S. Route 220 north towards Bellefonte, take exit 81 at Pleasant Gap,
at the stop sign turn right on to PA Route 26 go the second red light turn
right at the intersections of PA Route 26 and 144. See below.
From the southeast: U.S.
Route 322 west from Harrisburg, PA; follow U.S. 322 to PA Route 144 at
Potters Mills. Bear right at
the “Y” approximately 1 mile after U.S. 322 narrows down from 4 lanes
to 2 lanes. Proceed on PA
Route 144 through Centre Hall, over the mountain, and through the
intersection with PA Route 26.

From the intersection of
PA Route 26 and PA Route 144 proceed north onto PA Route 144 and travel
approximately 1.5 miles to the Pleasant Gap Fish Culture Station sign and
parking lot on the left. Park
next to the white Commission vehicles and walk across the small wooden
bridge. The Visitors’ Center
will be the first building to your right.
