Conference Objectives
To promote the
sharing of ideas and concepts among diverse groups with common
interests, such as nonprofit organizations, Trout Unlimited
chapters, sportsmen’s groups, and watershed associations, along
with environmental professionals from conservation districts,
agencies, and consulting firms.

Friday evening will feature an evening reception with
opportunities to network in the exhibit area; the reception will
include appetizers and a cash bar. On Saturday, February 20,
the program will begin at 8:30 a.m. with our keynote speakers.
Twelve breakout sessions will round out the morning and
afternoon, with topics related to oil and gas exploration, wind
power generation, access and transmission corridors, and coal
extraction. Presentations will highlight research, case studies,
proactive community action, policy and regulations, and targeted
outreach and advocacy that have played a part in ensuring
environmental protection. Participants will be treated to a
buffet lunch. A question-and-answer session with speakers will
conclude the day.
Friday Optional Workshop
On
Friday, February 19, the conference will begin with an optional
afternoon workshop on the basics of wind energy development and
gas exploration and extraction in Pennsylvania. The workshop is
an additional $20. Information will include economic,
regulatory, and policy considerations, along with the basic
processes used to explore, site, and implement the development
of wind farms and gas wells.

For
exhibit space (one six-foot table), please fill out the
registration form. Each exhibit space includes one complimentary
registration. Additional exhibitors must be registered for the
conference. The exhibitor deadline is
February 1, 2010.
Poster Session
Posters are invited from watershed organizations, Trout
Unlimited chapters, students, and any other groups who have
projects to share with the conference participants. There is no
charge for posters, which should measure no larger than four by
five feet. Easels will be provided,
but you must provide your own poster board.
Poster presenters do not receive a free registration and must
register for the conference.
